Teacher Quality Standards
Standard 1: Demonstrates mastery of and pedagogical expertise in content
I believe I am proficient in Standard 1 for numerous reasons. I have a vast knowledge on how to reach all students. By providing different access methods in all my lessons, I am ensuring to cater to all learners. My students are partners in the learning process which proves to boost their success.
Standard 2: Establishes a safe, inclusive and respectable learning environment for a diverse population of students
I am accomplished in establishing a safe, inclusive learning environment. My classroom expectations are always very clear that we need to respect each other as stated in my syllabus. I feel at ease when working with a very diverse group of learners and ensure that is the tone set in my room. It is very important to me as demonstrated in my management that students feel comfortable in a place where they are expressing themselves.
Standard 3: Plans and delivers effective instruction and creates an environment that facilitates learning for all students
Standard 3 is accomplished within my classroom. My goals are to have all students in the classroom learning by providing the support they need to succeed. Whether I have to pull students aside to figure out a solution I am passionate about reaching every student. I also ensure to leave an ample amount of feedback on every rubric to ensure expectations and goals are made very clear for all students.
Standard 4: Reflect on Professional Practice
I am proficient at this standard. I feel there are times I can reflect on how to further increase student understanding more frequently. I want to free up more time to go to workshops to better myself as an educator and artist.
Standard 5: Demonstrates leadership
Standard 5 also feels proficient from my experiences. I have been able to participate in staff meetings and leading art clubs in my student teaching experience but would like to increase my demonstration of leadership skills. I will continue to seek out leaderships opportunities as I continue my teaching endeavors.

Teacher Goals
My goal is to continue to reflect as much as possible on how to be an effective educator. I want to ensure I am helping each student succeed to their fullest capabilities. This can be accomplished by writing down any omissions in instruction based on formative & summative assessments. Additionally, this can occur by attending artist workshops and professional development seminars.
Another goal I have for myself is to make all students in my classroom feel cared about. By knowing everyone's names, interests, passions, and struggles I can best educate students in their knowledge and moral development. Intrinsic motivation will be heightened because I want to give students choice within their project based off what I know about their interests and passions. By making sure I walk the room, I will be able to reach every student during work time.

Areas I feel very comfortable in are being professional and prompt. This is because I am always trying to show up early to events and convey professionalism. It is important to me that people are aware I am serious and passionate about what I do. Additionally, I am always respecting others feelings when articulating my own. I am sensitive to other's feelings which helps my success in being an effective communicator. Caring about people comes very natural. I want to focus on continuing to seek opportunities to better my teaching practices. By practicing growth mindset, I can be the most effective educator possible. It is vital to practice reflection frequently throughout my teaching endeavors.
